Home Decor DYI
So, I took a picture of the coffee table (my daughter gave me). I am trying to decide whether to paint it..or not. I posted it to a DIY group that I belong to, asking for some input. Most said they would paint it ..white... to brighten up the living room. It's still a conundrum for me, as I've only painted a few other pieces, and new at the process. Should I use chalk paint? or some other type of paint. I'd like to distress the edges a bit to give it some character. It'll be a huge project for me. What do YOU think??

Hello friends,
I'm still new to this, so I'm still learning. I have been a little (or a lot) intimidated by creating and writing on a blog, thus the reason I haven't been posting for a long time. That said, I thought I'd include a little picture of my granddaughter Fiona that her mom (Gayle) took last week.

They live on a rather busy 'main' street, so I'm sure that a lot of people saw the beautiful artwork they (mom & daughter) did on their front sidewalk. A beautiful display of LOVE going out to everyone in their community during this time of quarantine.
Hope everyone is safe and doing their part as we continue to stay at home and self distance to mitigate the spread of Covid-19. It looks as though it's working, and we then can soon be back to a normal existence. 😊

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Good Afternoon~ Valentines day arrives tomorrow, and we are into the middle of February, ALREADY! I'm dreaming of Spring, just around the corner.
We have about a foot of snow on the ground though, and I'm not holding my breath that we won't get any more of that fluffy white stuff before Spring actually arrives. We've been lucky so far, and the weather has been mild here in Wisconsin, so I will not protest nor whine about the cold. (I'm not always honest about that, tho.)
I've been tasking today to cheer things up a bit around the house and thought I'd share what I've done in that department.
The vintage oak sideboard sits neatly in the front entryway to my home.
The 'baby it's cold outside' is just a tongue in cheek reminder of the season.
I found the saying on pinterest.
I took a side trip to the thrift store while out getting my weekly groceries, and found several cute inexpensive (thrifty) items to help celebrate 💘Day. The little red vase with the french saying, 'Je Taime' (I Love You) and the lovely heart picture frame.
Wishing everyone a sweet sweet February 14th.

Hello
Let me introduce myself. But first, I'd like to let you all know that this is my very first post as a blogger, and I have no idea what I'm doing. So, please bare with me.
I am a 74 year's young grandmother of two darling granddaughters. They are the LOVE of my life. I am the mother of four children. I am proudly married to a wonderful man, recently celebrating our 54th anniversary. I have a deep and devoted faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. Over the years, I've enjoyed many diversified interests, which includes interior decorating, knitting, crocheting,. cross-stitching, sewing and many other DIY projects. I've been the owner of an antique business, but since retired from that endeavor. Oh, did I mention I enjoy camping with my daughters and granddaughters.
Just to define the choice of my 'title'. We all know, or should know, the meaning of 'dust-bunnies' right? (noun. Slang. a loose, tangled ball of dust, lint, hair, etc.,and are held together by static electricity and felt-like entanglement). Which is what seems to be a prevalent battlefield in my home, as well as inside my mind. [smirk] And, 'eklectic' (my prerogative to miss-spell), means... (adjective.deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources). Which basically means I've had the same diversity throughout my adult life, of decor and interests.
With all this, I begin a new endeavor in blogging. Hopefully to enlighten and amuse you of now what is called my golden years ahead.
